We've been testing these speakers here at the Audio Buyer's Guide office for some time now and they appear well made and trouble-free. Unlike many inexpensive speakers, the built-in amp is pleasingly quiet while the speakers are idle, even when the volume is turned up to maximum. Most importantly, they sound great when not idle -- apparently a tribute to the material from which the speakers cones are made. The company says Kevlar reinforced drivers and a steel braced, magnetically shielded enclosure are to thank.
